The restaurant industry’s social media marketing efforts have come a long way, but the all-important question coming from the corner office remains the same: “Where is the return on investment?” The answer may literally be close at hand given the growing use of the promotional capabilities enabled by millions of phones with GPS chips, according to marketers exploring the trend of “SoLoMo,” or the convergence of social, local and mobile marketing.
