The first Pita Pit franchise in Western South Dakota is set to open for business Monday at 725 Main St., in Rapid City. 

The restaurant is owned by Tim Smith, his parents Steve and Kathy Smith, his wife, Lisa Smith and his friend Justin Henrichsen.

The Pita Pit is a casual quick-service restaurant that specializes in build-it-yourself pitas. With more than 50 ingredients available, there are over a trillion different potential pita combinations that could be ordered, Tim Smith said.

There are some suggested pitas recipes, but customers tend to order their own personalised pitas, said Tim Smith, who attended a two-week training session at the franchise headquarters in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Pita Pit opened in Battle Ground, WA today on 11 NW 12th Ave, Suite 104! This is Dennis and Laura Sallee's sixth Pita Pit location making them pita veterans. Their hours are listed below.

Pita Pit's newest franchisees, Tana and Terra Walther, opened their doors in North Canton, Ohio today. Give them a proper pita hello and stop in at 1102 N Main Street for a dose of fresh thinking, healthy eating.

Franchise couple bringing fresh Pita Pits to Phoenix market

As if Phoenix’s fast-casual restaurant space weren’t competitive enough already, Idaho-based Pita Pit has plans to bring its healthy brand of pita sandwiches to the market with several new stores beginning early next year.

Arizona couple Todd and Blanca Runyan have signed a franchise agreement to bring 11 Pita Pit locations to the Valley beginning with a location on Mill Avenue in Tempe, which is slated to open early next year. They are in the process of moving to the Phoenix area from Yuma, where they opened another Pita Pit this month.

The first location will be opened by 26-year old entrepreneur, Jack Brighinti, who has previously opened two Pita Pit locations in New Orleans and Baton Rouge near universities.

Jack decided to move to Oxford to open his newest location to introduce the brand to the state because of the tremendous success he has found with his two other locations and loved the idea of bringing something different to the Oxford community. Why Jack has found so many successes is through his community service and sponsorship of local organizations in the region which he feels passionate about after opening in each town. His goal is to make healthy and affordable eating options available to the whole city, deciding to eliminate delivery boundaries and make the whole city his market.

Pita Pit has more than 300 locations across North America and is continuing to grow in college towns and downtown areas across the United States and Canada. They are most known for the fun, fresh atmosphere that focuses on healthy ingredients that are customized to order, grilled meats and unique sauces to spice-up anything on the menu.

Pita Pit was featured in the Wichita Business Journal in an article titled, "Pita Pit plans early-Aprilopening in Northrock Retail Center." The article features Cammy Onek, new franchisee in Wichita and Peter Riggs who discussed the upcoming opening. The Pita Pit is looking to hire about 20 employees and will be tentatively opening the end of the first week in April. Eventually, Cammy and her husband Chad are looking at opening additional locations in Wichita, but for now they are eager to get the first location us and running. Pita Pit plans early-Aprilopening in Northrock Retail Center

Cammy Onek is busy putting the finishing touches on what will be her first Pita Pit franchise in Wichita.

The educator and coach turned restaurateur says she is in the process of hiring about 20 employees for the 1,782-square-foot restaurant, which will be in Occidental Management’s Northrock Retail Center at 3242 N. Rock Road.

Pita Pit, Onek says, is tentatively scheduled to open toward the end of the first week of April.

Dickinson gets a Pita Pit

A Pita Pit has opened in Dickinson.

“It’s been very steady since we’ve been open,” manager Samantha Linbstedt said.

The restaurant has been doing about double the business as the Bismarck location, Linbstedt said.

The new location opened Feb. 9 at 1785 First St. W.

These past few weeks have been an exciting for Pita Pit  because we opened two new locations!

Brandon Twine has teamed up with his fiancée, Kimberly Felt, and his mom, Sue Twine, to open up Pita Pit, a fast-food style eatery in Tribe Square on the College of William and Mary campus.

The family business came about after Sue Twine retired from her job as an IT specialist in the Norfleet Naval Shipyard for over 40 years and Brandon left his job working as an electrician in the shipyard. They researched various franchises before deciding on Pita Pit.

Pita Pit was recently featured on AnnArbor.com welcoming Pita Pit to the Ann Arbor market under the direction of franchisee, Kay Miller. Pita Pit to open new downtown Ann Arbor restaurant today

A Mediterranean-style restaurant chain called Pita Pit is opening a restaurant near the University of Michigan campus today, just in time for the Ann Arbor Art Fair.The restaurant is located at 615 East University Avenue between Mia Za’s Cafe and Lucky Kitchen Chinese restaurant.

The Pita Pit, located at 615 East University Avenue, is set to open today in downtown Ann Arbor.
