Pita Pit featured on WEAR TV3

Pita Pit was recently featured on WEAR TV3 in Pensacola. The segment features Pita Pit Pensacola owner, Jeff Bell, making pitas using fresh ingredients and explains that the location is close to the University of West Florida. The segment also mentioned that in addition to being open for lunch and dinner every day, Pita Pit is open late night for the students to enjoy healthier alternatives to fast food. This segment is a great way for viewers to follow their New Year’s resolutions and realize that they can go out to eat, find lots of variety and experience a healthy and delicious meal. On the west end of the Target Shopping Center the Pita Pit lets you design your own sandwich or salad using a variety of toppings.
   
They serve lunch and dinner every day.


And for the late night munchies they're open past midnight, Monday through Saturday.

Pita Pit featured on CBS Indianapolis Indy Style

Pita Pit was recently featured in a segment on CBS Indianapolis Indy Style called "Resolution Solution." The segment features Pita Pit owner in Indianapolis, Travis Sealls, showing viewers how to make a low calorie pita meal as well as a pita snack, such as the Light Buffalo Chicken pita and the Light Steak Fajita. Travis offers great ways for viewers to eat a meal that is very filling and healthy, all for under 500 calories. Travis also talks about the lean meats, healthy cheeses, vegetables and all 27 sauces that they use at Pita Pit as well as the Build A Pita Calculator to learn more about the nutrition facts. This segment is a great way for viewers to follow their New Year’s resolutions and realize that they can go out to eat, find lots of variety and experience a healthy and delicious meal. Health conscious businesses expect an after New Year's rush

As many retailers see sales slow in the post-Christmas season, business at Coolgreens restaurants is expected to rise 35 percent in the new year. It's a phenomenon many health-conscious businesses such as restaurants and gyms see in the weeks and months after New Year's, when many people are enthusiastic about their resolutions to eat healthy or lose weight. 

Coolgreens, which has been steadily growing its metro-area presence and is on track to open its fifth location this month, has a menu full of healthy options like salads, soups, flatbread pizzas and frozen yogurt. Managing partner 
Allan McMurrain said the concept was founded on the premise that people would eat healthy if given the option.

Pita Pit Launches “Resolution Solution” Campaign to Promote a Healthy Start to the New Year

The Pita Pit, a 180-unit franchise popular for serving quick and healthy alternatives to fast food, is launching its “Resolution Solution” campaign to help American’s keep their New Year resolutions. The campaign promotes six delicious and healthful pitas, ranging from 280 to 450 calories and packed with flavor.

“As one of the few QSR concepts founded and wholly centered on healthy dining options, we are continuously trying to provide a product that satisfies our customers’ taste buds without stretching their waist lines,” said Peter Riggs, Vice President of Corporate Business of The Pita Pit. “The ‘Resolution Solution’ campaign offers even lower calorie options in addition to our existing healthy choices in an effort to assist consumers in making smart eating decisions in the new year.”

The “Resolution Solution” campaign, which kicks off January 1 and lasts to mid February, will start the New Year off right with six customized pitas each weighing in under than 500 calories. Four of these featured pitas are 400 calories or less, providing meals packed with flavor but without the high fat content. These new offerings focus on healthy ingredients such as grilled chicken breast, grilled steak and fresh vegetables and as well as light sauces including the Mediterranean tzatziki sauce. Two “Resolution Solution” options are the Light Chicken Caesar, with grilled chicken, romaine lettuce, tomatoes, onions and cucumbers, and the Light Mediterranean, with babaganoush, fresh spinach, tomatoes, onions, black olives and tzatziki sauce. Other choices include the Light Aloha, Light Garden, Light Buffalo Chicken, and Light Steak Fajita.
